I mean I dont believe Tobi and Asmodeus are the same at all. The timelines don't match up. Asmodeus was sealed away inside Sarah the entire time Tobi was out doing his thing. Also their goals and methods dont really align at all either. Like how is Tobi able to operate 'haunting' Katie and Kristi through the 80's-2000's while at the same time being saled away inside Sarah and then assuming her descendants under the Church? So who knows how long Asmodeus was trapped away for before being released by Margot.

Dewey's death was honestly what made me stop watching/caring about the scream movies. Maybe it's a weird thing to get upset about, but it just felt... really drawn out and mean-spirited and overly long, and just kinda felt very... "haha we're killing a long-running character for shock value!" rather than like. Actually serving much of a purpose. Especially since, as you point out, he died because he just refused to learn to aim for the head for some reason. *Even though multiple Ghostfaces at this point have worn bulletproof vests*. Just felt very... mean, very 'shock value' only with nothing to really say.
